About Robert OBlockRobert O'Block is the founder of Management Executives, Inc., in
Springfield, Missouri. He uses his management and organizational skills
to promote professionalism and education in the forensics and law
enforcement fields. O'Block has been involved in law enforcement for
most of his career, working initially as a police dispatcher and later
as a police officer and a probation officer in Kansas. He also served as
a Senior Counselor at the Crawford County Children's Court Center in
Pittsburg, Kansas.
After many years in law enforcement and the justice system, Robert O'Block entered academia and eventually rose to Chair of the Department of the Administration of Justice at the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. While in academia, O'Block authored many articles and several books, including Security and Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Research Sources. In 1992, O'Block founded Management Executives. His intention was to create accreditation, conference, and membership opportunities for professionals working in the growing field of forensics. In that same year, Robert O'Block started his first professional organization, the American College of Forensic Examiners International (ACFEI). He also began publication of the Forensic Examiner, a peer-reviewed journal associated with the ACFEI that features a mix of scientific articles, new research, interviews with forensic scientists, and case studies. Today, the ACFEI is the world's largest professional organization for people who work in forensics. The group provides information, education, certification, training, and conference opportunities to its members. Since 1992, Robert O'Block has gone on to found 11 different boards related to law enforcement, including the American Board of Forensic Medicine, the American Board of Forensic Dentistry, and the American Board of Forensic Accounting. He has also developed 19 certification programs for law enforcement officials. Among other degrees, O'Block holds an M.S. in Sociology from Pittsburg State University in Kansas and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Kansas State University. | ![]() |
